birthday.

first of all, i think a better picture of my tattoo is in order. that last one was taken just hours after i got it and my foot is really red. plus also seen in this photo are three of my favorite things: my porch swing, my new pair of crocs, and my absolute favorite new pair of capris. wahoo. i'll bet you're excited. with the help of lisa, i've finally pinpointed why i enjoy the crocs/capri combo so much: she says it makes me look like i'm from the 50's. i conclude with this: i want to be a 50's housewife when i grow up, er...except i'll still go to work. that doesn't make sense and i don't care.

speaking of "growing up", or something, i'm 27 now. my roommates took me on a suprise trip on the Gateway Clipper. here's me at the fake tourist-y wheel where they force you to take a group picture that they then try and sell to you later:

later more friends came over for cake, i mean pie. mmmm. kentucky derby pie which is basically cookie dough in pie form. with vanilla ice cream! (i can't lie to you: i may or may not have eaten two or possibly three pieces on sunday instead of most meals. oops.) my roommates were so kind as to light all 27 candles! good grief. i showed mae the pictures later and she said "that's a lot of fire!!".

ok hold up! it's called an ODIAL and it holds your cell phone and it's made by crocs. ahahahaha. i love it. crocs....cell phone...ODIAL. i totally missed that the first time around but now it's cracks me up. i'm such a sucker for witty product names. here's nathan:

mind you, justin later fell asleep with HIS cell phone in the odial with it tucked neatly under his arm. he works insanely long hours that begin at the buttcrack of dawn so he's prone to falling asleep, mouth open, head back, upright in a chair around 10pm at every event ever. i wish i had taken a picture of him curled up with the odial.

that's all for now kids. i'm going to work in a few minutes and then after that i'm going to print a church bulletin, and then after that i'm going to collapse in my bed, and THEN i'm headed to meadville for a reunion of sorts! lots of college friends will be in town plus i'll get to see lots of meadville friends as well. i'm really excited to see everyone! let's hope i survive work. i'm really sick of that place. but good things are happening on weekends.
