i'm going to join the "i like to make lists" club

it's a lazy saturday. the list of things to do grows ever longer as they occur to me to add to the list:

for the love of all things, clean my room
find tax info
file taxes
feed amanda's fish
make a church bulletin/arm wrestle copy machine
pick up alexis downtown
help with easter dinner for the drop-in center at church
find stomach meds somewhere in my room and take them

and now for the list of things i WANT to do:

clean my room
sew! (it is a crying shame that i haven't used my new sewing machine more than two times in the past three months)
crochet
make earrings
actually use my card making stuff (i've vowed to never buy a card again...unless it's a fresh ink card that makes me laugh out loud in the store and causes strangers to stare)
get some pictures printed and framed

can you tell i'm feeling creative? unfortunately the creativity hasn't lead to action of any sort recently. i find myself bogged down with the fact that i cannot FIND anything in my room because it's that much of a mess. i'm the world's worst procrastinator when it comes down to this. it's been bugging me for at least a month and i STILL haven't done anything about it. i honestly don't think i've cleaned my room since i went to florida last month. yes, that's true because there is still a suitcase sitting out. somehow it's easier to go read a book or talk to a roommate or type lists on my blog than actually going and doing what i mean to do. the most frustrating thing is that i know i'll feel the biggest sense of accomplishment if i actually just DO THIS.

possible ways to spend my tax return if i ever in fact FILE my dang taxes:
obtain a table to keep my sewing machine on
get a tattoo!
buy paint for my chairs if they have weathered the storms of the winter ok
get a new raincoat that is bright and loud and matches my pink boots
buy some sewing supplies: fabric scissors, a mat to cut fabric on, a rotary cutter, some thread
buy some new music
pay off some past credit card debts : (
put it in savings

last night i saw one of my favorite bands, Relient K, for the 8th time. i had a great time and it was a really good show. of course i can't honestly say that i've ever even seen a bad RK show but this one was particularily energetic. i was standing near the stage jumping up and down and singing every song. a friend of mine was at the show and she stayed up in the bleachers watching. she says she's too old for the chaos of standing on the floor near the mosh pit. i'm several years older than her and i still find it energizing to smash myself into a small space with total strangers who are belting out the words right along with me. the band seemed to be having a great time too, though they didn't talk and banter as much as usual. this was their fifth show with their new drummer ethan so the adjustment to that might have been part of it. in the end i had a great time, met up with some cool people, AND savored another shamrock shake.
