i've got quite a few stories to tell. let's begin with waking up this morning from a nightmare in which a wanted serial killer posing as an old senile man promised that he would soon disappear but he'd be back for me. i woke up frantic at 6am and stumbled into alexis's room where she was getting ready for work to tell her my dream. i then stumbled back to my bed and fell asleep again, but not before turning on the light to check my room for senile old men/wanted serial killers lurking in the shadows.
monday was a treat. i worked 9:30am-6:30pm and had a demanding customer reach over the counter and take the phone from me so that she could inform the store that i was calling that "they had better hold that jacket for her until tomorrow or she'll have somebody's head". she then deamanded to know with whom she was speaking and informed Rebecca that she was holding her personally responsible for that jacket and it better be there when she came to pick it up. i'm sorry rebecca, she took the phone from me, yelled at you, and then hung up on you. i was too busy to call you back to apologize for this.
i closed at the store tonight. i hate doing that b/c it means catching the bus and walking home in the dark. ah well, i do what i have to. so i went to wait by wal-mart assuming that more ppl would be around that bus stop and it would be well light. i found an old blind man at the stop. apparently he had ridden a bus there with some friends who had then decided to continue shopping while he waited at the bus stop for them. he misunderstood and thought that he had in fact been deserted at walmart, alone and blind at night. he couldn't remember what bus he needed and i while i tried to help him sort this out he began to cry. i promised him that i would ask the next bus that came through how he could get home. in the process of consoling the blind man, calling my roommate to have her look up bus schedules for him, and trying to eat my yogurt and strawberries i dropped my bowl on my leg. in order to clean off the yogurt it occured to me that pouring my water bottle on it should help. it didn't. i ended up with a wet, yogurt-y pant leg. so i had to roll up my pants to conceal the grossness.
the end of my story is that the blind man's friends came out of walmart before any buses came and laughed when he seemed concerned that they had left him. they assumed all along that he would just wait for them. and yes, the thought did occur to me that the old blind man might in fact BE a wanted serial killer, espeically when he stared right into my eyes when talking, just like the guy in my dream did, but he was in fact not. the end.

Aww! What buttheads leave their old blind friend outside of Hell*Mart at night? Did they want to come out to find that he'd been robbed and possibly impregnated? Did you tell them that they are, in fact, items that rhyme with "smoosh-bags?"
If it makes you feel any better, I dreamed last night that a cop on a motorcycle was chasing me through a storage facility because I was breastfeeding and for some reason it was illegal.
Now, off to my waking nightmare, which is work. Only 40 school days left, and then the tell-all can begin...
you are such an ageist.
why do you say that?
just b/c i suspect that old men are serial killers?
