closet kids' music fan

today i've got the giant peach baby all day. he's such a cutie. i put him in the stroller shortly after he got here and we ran up to the church to check the messages before his nap. whenever i put him in the stroller he puts both feet straight out. and then he rides along with his right foot straight out at full salute and his left foot swinging along while he hums. he has those little leather shoes with giraffes on them that the best shoes ever. when he sees a bird or a flower or a truck both feet go out at full salute while he points and asks me questions that somehow all resemble "bah?" it occured to me that i should take a picture but i didn't have my camera with me. someday i will though. too bad the temperatures are dropping more than 30 degrees during the day while we prepare for a cold front and some snow, otherwise i'd take him for a nice long walk this afternoon. if it's not freezing later i may still bundle him up and swing on my porch swing with him for awhile. we might even listen to some laurie too. i admit it, when i worked at preschool we used to listen to laurie a lot and the kids loved her (and so did i) she's no raffi or barney, i promise you she's not annoying at all, which is why i can tolerate her. i don't remember how but i accquired some laurie cd's which are floating around somewhere. now i have a reason to listen to them. this reminds me of a story about my former coworker. she has two little boys and they frequently listened to "Under a Shady Tree" in the car. one day she was singing along at full blast when she realized that neither of her kids were in the car. she had her windows open too and is sure that everyone around her knew she was rocking out to kids music.

other than that i've got nothing for ya, aside from the fact that with the power of three jobs combined i've actually got 40 hours of work to do this week! exciting.
