when falling it is important to maintain your enthusiasm, hence the "jazz hands"
took this at the outlet mall, an excellent find.
i ended up taking the peach over to visit emily and the kids. i sat him on the couch. wes wandered over with a ball and said "ball". the peach replied "ball". mae looked at me in astonishment and said "He can talk!!!". it was so cute. i guess she didn't realize that he knew how to say any words yet. emily and i baked cookies (wes and mae stuck a grubby paw into the dough occassionally also) while the kids played.
miss mae was insisting that she was NOT tired but she was sooo ready for a nap. she threw a rather large toy that narrowly missed me and the babies so emily sent upstairs to her room and informed her that she would get a spanking. after a few seconds we heard mae open the door and say quietly goodbye melissy. so i went upstairs to give her a hug before leaving and found her hiding under wesley's crib. when i came in she whimpered so i told her that it was just me coming to give her a hug goodbye. we hugged and she told me "quick, leave my room and shut the door. i don't want a spanking! don't tell her. don't tell her" and then proceeded to hide under the crib again. ah mae, she's the greatest.
and now for some photos that look like they should be in a craft magazine, and yes i cheated...the orange and green ones were not even close to being done yet and the yellow was about 3/4 of the way finished:

Boo on the spanking part. Maybe she'd be interested in lurking on the Gentle Christian Mothers message board to check out some positive alternatives (AKA grace-based discipline) to help her deal with what seems like a very clever and intelligent Mae?
i was just waiting for you to comment on the spanking. ;) i'm quite open to reading about alternative methods, but at this point in time i agree with spanking. i won't comment on their parenting choices b/c i'm sure they have thought this out but i will say that from what i can see i do not disagree with how they handle discipline. i'd be interested to discuss this with you though.
