one.

i really want a new job. ONE JOB. not 4 or 5. no more waiting around for an employer to give me more hours. no more pissing off one employer to start yet another part time job. no more work schedules that change every single week. no more printing bulletins at 8am sunday morning b/c of work on saturday or not having the info to print till saturday night or computer glitches. no more juggling schedules. no more running in circles one day and having nothing to do the next. no more scraping pennies together for bus fare or laundry. no more walking....and walking...and walking to get everywhere. (i'd put the estimate of miles walked this week somewhere between 11 and 12). no more missed buses. or drooling dogs that walk me. no more groceries bought on credit. no more wondering how this will all work out. one. just one job. with regular hours. that would be lovely. i'm tired of trying to make this part-time employment thing work. one job. that's all i ask.

currently i'm still at the store, the church, and as of this week i'm dog walking again. i'm in the process of telling the store that i am now only available three days a week so that i can take on babysitting for a family at church two days a week. nothing is certain with this babysitting thing though. she might end up doing daycare or daycare and homecare or just homecare. i don't know. i hate to piss off the store in order to be available to babysit but on the other hand i can't sit around and be available to work at the store if all they are giving me is 4-8 hours a week. so it's looking like:
monday-babysit
tuesday-store/dogwalking
wednesday-babysit
thursday-community bible study/dog walking
friday-store/dogwalking
saturday-store
and a minimum of every other day stopping by the church to check messages/mail/etc. plus working on and printing the bulletin. once a month getting newsletters printed. random projects as necessary. organizing all of the files for 2006, all of that done quickly and efficiently except that on any given week at least one of these key pieces of equipment will fail me: the church laptop, the printer, or the copy machine.

and the woman i walk dogs for wants me to consider helping her out in the evenings and on the weekends. somehow i don't think i'll have time for all of this. and yet i really can't afford NOT to find time for all this. the money situation is bad news bears.

kudos to you if you read all of this. i can't keep things straight and i can't figure out which jobs to drop which ones to take. i can't seem to prioritize which opportunities are better. i'm done rambling. but i still don't know what to do. can you see why i just want ONE job?

hmm and the doctor just called me to tell me i'm very very anemic. which might explain why a full day wipes me out so severely. guess i'll start taking those iron pills again.
