last week i decided that it was finally time for the christmas decorations in the church to go so each time i walked through the sanctuary i took down a few and put them in my office. eventually i had an office covered in ceramic manger figurines and greenery and red velvet bows so on sunday i finally got someone to help me track down the mysterious cupboard in which i can store them. i somehow managed to get the entire manger including all of the figurines from the back of the sanctuary to my office without incident but when i tried to place it into the boxes i dropped the entire thing. i cut my hands in two places in an attempt to save the magi and poor baby Jesus from their fate, but to no avail. thank the Lord for super glue.....
in all: Joseph lost an arm, Jesus lost two arms, the donkey lost both ears (one has yet to be recovered), and both of our magi friends lost their heads....so tempted to put the african american head on the white one and vice versa (we recovered one of the magi heads from beneath the copy machine).
in other news this is what the ceiling looks like today. the landlord's brother promised me it would not actually fall in, of course that's what he said last time too. i'll believe it when i don't see it. at least stanley steamer cleaned the carpets for us....never mind the fact that they did not actually do an assessment of water damage to the house. that makes me a little nervous. i've already spoken with the landlord about that situation. i trust my insticts enough to be nervous about mold growth.

I think that in your attempt to be politically correct you were actually grossly inaccurate...I'm 99.99999% sure that NONE of the magi were American....
;)
hahahahahaha. ok the black magi. there. that never even occured to me.
Regarding the water- it might be worth it to go to a hardware store and buy a few buckets of that dessicant- I forget the brand name- that sucks the moisture out of the air.
Oh, Melissa.
Ah, and that Oh, Melissa. was actually from lynnp. (And so is this. . .)
