crocs: go get some

i bought some of these (yes i really bought orange ones because they match my coat and hat that my mom got for me) recently and i am happy to report that they are amazing. i know, i know a lot of people hate them with a mad burning passion. they think they are ugly shoes and should not be worn by anyone. well basically i hear you and i don't care. wearing them is like walking on a cloud. they put a spring in your step. i do a fair amount of walking what with having to rely on public transportation and they are super comfortable. plus, here's what prompted this post, today i wore them in the pouring down rain. i would just like to tell you that despite the fact that my jeans were soaked up to the knees, and my bag was starting to get damp even though i had an umbrella, my feet stayed totally dry. mmhmm. say what you will about the fact that the backs of my shoes are open because in the end that didn't affect their ability to be rainproof. now had i stomped in a puddle i'm sure i would have had wet feet of course. but i didn't.

on a side note: what is up with people in pittsburgh and how they pronounce the word umbrella? say it to yourself now, "umbrella". the emphasis is NOT supposed to be on the UM part of the word. it was just brought to my attention recently and it cracks me up every time i hear some foolish pittsburgher say the word.

and as a p.s. i shall add this: i make no apologies for the fact that i almost never use capitalization. i'm lazy. sorry. oh wait that was an apology....
