things i love sundays

some of the people whose blogs i read who don't know i read them (but that's another discussion for another day) have "things i love thursdays" on their blogs. well this is a rip-off. and it's not thursday. deal with it.

i looooove this place:. i once flew through detroit on my way to a friend's wedding. i had a two hour layover there. i ended up buying a starbucks frappacino and wandering the airport. i sat by the huge fountain for a long time with my journal and my music. i wandered around some more and i found to my great delight a place i have nicknamed Disnyeland. i don't know what it is about it, but in my mind it remains a spectacular place. three of my friends have visited the detroit airport since this summer. two called me from the elevator just before disneyland. (one tried calling from disneyland but found that there was no reception) and kristi was awesome enough to take pictures for me.

essentially all that it is, is a tunnel that connects some of the terminals. but inside the tunnel you ride on the people mover and watch a rainbow light show and listen to some strange music. whatever. even if you think i'm crazy thats ok. i liked it and here are the pictures:
