it's time to buy a daffodil. i love them and i love that they bloom near my birthday. which, in case you are counting, is 26 days away. haha. i love my birthday. i wish i could say that i'm doing a million productive things right now but instead i'm blogging because i'm procrastinating. i keep thinking about spring. i'm ready for warmer temperatures again. it was cold today but it was very sunny. i spent the morning chasing robins at the park with mae and wes. mae is convinced that she can catch one in her hands if only she can sneak up on them. it was sweet and fun. she asked me to stand on top of the playground with sticks in my hands to pretend that i was a tree. she thought maybe i could stand still enough to bring the birds to me and then we could catch one. my height apparently fooling them into thinking i was a tree. now i've spent a while talking on the phone thinking about how i wish i could sit outside on my porch swing. i'm excited to drag out all of the flower pots and candles. i declared last sunday that i had switched over to spring in my mind. and now i'm planning what kinds of herbs and plants i want to have this year. i want april! and spring! and warmth and sunshine. and for my room to magically clean itself. and the church bulletin to make itself.
