please remind me to buy a new mouse before i throw mine through the computer monitor

photos! i loaned my camera to my brother and sister-in-law for a few weeks and somehow got out of the habit of taking pictures. but my camera is back and so here you go.
i attended the handmade arcade last weekend with the roomies and saw this hilariously sad little toaster:

this morning on the way to work i tried to capture some quick shots of the falling snow but they didn't work out so well. this was the second time i've seen snow this winter. it was literally a turn the camera on, press the button, and keep walking kind of morning. i was already running a little late and i had a mini-bagel and a nalgene bottle in one hand and the camera in the other. the results (look carefully at the bricks and you can see some white streaks):

so yea the snow pictures, not so exciting. we got the phone call of all phone calls today at the pharmacy. it's quite humorous in an ironic sad sort of way but nonetheless. a woman called up to ask us what her Namenda pills were for. i gave the phone to someone more qualified than i to answer her question. turns out Namenda is for alzheimers. the woman's reply: "Alzheimer's. gee i didn't know i had that."

also, today i got my first pen from a pharmaceutical rep. wahoo. everyone at work has really nice metal pens in their pockets proclaiming in flashy colors the name of some drug: prevacid, lipitor (but honestly who wants a lipitor pen anyway? that stupid dr. robert jarvis, seen here, bugs the hell out of me), etc. i'm super jealous of them. my boss doesn't buy pens for the store. we bring in our own from home. i happen to be using two different pens with quotes from The Office on them which i find fantabulous BUT they just can't compare to the fancy schmancy metal pink and turquoise prevacid pen with a cute little stomach on it. anyway today i got a vesicare pen. don't laugh because it's for a medicine that treats incontinence. hush you. it was free.

and the quote of the evening:
alexis: "melissa do you want to go out to the south side with us?"
melissa: "no i think i'm too tired"
*flip, flip, flip* i start looking at a Joanne Fabric ad that we got in the mail
melissa: "guys! i want to go to joanne fabric. will someone take me there?"
josh: "ahahahaha. she's talking about going out for drinks and you're sitting here talking about joanne fabric. why don't you just buy 300 cats now? it's all over. you're such a grandma."

additional note: i apologize for my overabundant use of : tonight
i also apologize for the number of links to pharmaceutical websites. i decided that i was officially a pharmacy nerd the other day while reading The Pharmacy Tech Times over my lunch break.

true: i mispelled the word pharmaceutical twice in this post.
false: i did not utter any curse words at my mouse because of it's inability to function while posting this.

I saw that toaster at handmade arcade too! So sad. I hope you found some good items there, everything was too amazing for me and I had to stick with one shirt as my gift to myself. otherwise I would have wanted to max out my credit card with amazing craftyness!
