back to school.

this post might have been inspired a bit by nathan's post. have i ever told you how much i looooooooove school supplies? i never really liked going back to school, just the fact that i got to buy new pens/pencils/notebooks. i still walk through the aisles at the store and drool over the school supplies. i haven't actually purchased anything, but there was always something so exciting about doing so. in high school i convinced my mother that i should buy pens and pencils in bulk. i went to the equivalent of sam's club and purchased somewhere around 3 to 4 dozen brightly colored mechanical pencils and bic pens that wrote in hot pink, turquoise, and purple. i cleaned out my desk the other day and realized that over 10 years later (let's not talk about how old i am) i still had at least a dozen of each. i ended up giving them to alexis to take to school since clearly i am not using them now. i talked myself out of buying a new notebook for the perspectives class i'm taking. i have one left over from college that has some pages left. sometimes i get a tiny bit jeaouls of my friends who are teachers because they still have a reason to buy school supplies. ahahaha. i can just imagine myself in the future, i'll be more excited than my own children to buy their new folders for school.
