i disappeared for a month. whoops. i'm back. with photos! does that make up for it?
new year's day we went to david and emily's house for sauerkraut and pork. i'm not a huge fan of the first but the pork was amazing. the kiddos were of course ridiculously cute. for starters they had their little toy basket out and were rolling each other down the hallway in it.

and then they were both cowboys wearing hats and riding stick horses around the kitchen. yeehaw. and then trogdor showed up to burninate the countryside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh no it appears he forgot his majesty! i'll help you trogdor:

there, that's better. but there's still a dragon on the loose! who will save the princess mae?? this looks like a job for sir wesley!

[i really hate the quality of this picture. most of these are edited quite a bit. i almost never change the color/saturation of my pictures. today was an experiment in using the crappy photo editing program that i have. it sucks. i think i might invest in something better. but maybe i should invest in some anti-virus software first. egads.] the brave knight battled the fierce trogdor despite his bland washed out appearance and the fact that melissa messed up the saturation or contrast of this photo.

and the princesses cheered!
and they all lived happily ever after!
by the way, the blue dress was mae's third costume change of the day. she was kind enough to loan lisa one of her tiaras for the occasion.
and finally he's just too much cuteness to handle.

I'm not as concerned about the saturation (or whatever...i can't even tell) as I am about the fact that Mae has no head in that one picture.
Don't forget that Wesley also ran screaming from the dragon. And that he ended up killing it by pointing his sword and making gun noises...
And, I told you to get the free anti-virus. I'm not buying another year.
did you by any chance write this comment early in the morning? sheesh lady. a. she was moving while i took the picture so i just zoomed in and showed the dress. b. true, but this was a fairy tale. knights don't run screaming in fairy tales. c. yes, i need you to show me the site again.
This made me laugh. I was missing my Too Tall blog updates.

open source image editing. die hard photoshoppers hate it, mostly because they didn't put all the tools in the same place as photoshop did. cost: $0. open source software ftw!
by the way your comments are written in purple, thus completely hidden.

maybe i'll get ambitious and figure out how to change the font color on the comments. i just rely on the fact that when you click "leave a comment" instead of "view comments" you get to see all of them on the white screen. i screwed around with all of the html coding over a year ago when i started this thing and it's been so long that i'm not looking forward to messing with it again for fear i will destroy the whole blog.
Come back, Melissa!
melissa, you know it just ain't right to update your blog once a month. ;)
love you anyway!!!
