trogdor!!!!! burninating the countryside!!!!!!!!

i'm writing to you from the sweatbox today. we have now reached offical "burnination" status in our house. it's hotter than hott right now. i was going to use more graphic phrases there but i refrained. i also refrained from ordering ALL of the madeline l'engle books in the public library system, settling instead on four. discovering her writings has become an obsession of mine lately. i cannot stop reading her books. find me another author that has me as captivated and you will win a prize. i doubt you can do it. (although i was heavily into the last harry potter book. no spoilers here, but i did become so emotionally distraught that i threw the book down on the deck and went inside to pace and pretend to check the clothes in the dryer. i then grabbed a brownie and consumed it while flipping madly through the pages to find where i had left off. reading that book also involved some hysterical sobbing, it was that intense for me).

i have returned from new hampshire. the fact that my camera is currently in the next room and that walking to get it feels like a major chore right now will tell you how hot it is here. i'll upload the pictures and tell stories soon. i promise. for now i'll let you know that i had a fantastic trip. we hiked mountains (i got bruises and scratches all over my body), we kayaked, we swam in rivers, it was awesome.

in other news i leave in 4 days for ny. my little brother is getting married next monday! craziness. i still need to buy some shoes to go with my dress.....
